Just wondering if anybody fishes it for summers? And if you do is it the same kind of fishing as for springers?

Yes...I took my first steelhead (from the boat) last summer there about this time of year. I've also fished it for springers but had much better luck at the top of govt isle.

I was trolling a green and yellow spinner with rainbow blade. Apparently there is a slot there...between the middle of the river and the shore drop. 35ft is the deep point (+5' for current level) and the as yet unproven for me springer slot. The steelhead I've seen are a bit shallower, at the edge of the slot rising to 20 ft.
