Default 2004 Toyota Double-cab SR5 4WD

I'm sadly selling my 2004 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab truck (4.7 liter V8). I'm the 2nd owner and have had it since 2006. The truck is in great shape, has 78K miles, had new front brakes this year, and new Toyo A/T Open Country tires 2 years ago. Clean title, no accidents, no mechanical issues. It is set up with a tow hitch and has a canopy. My reason for selling is I need a vehicle that can fit 4 young kids for school carpooling the next few years, and try as I might, the Tundra ain't cutting it. Back in the day, pops would throw us kids in the back bed and call it good but my wife isn't too keen on that idea. Anyone interested in a trade for a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyessy (see - I can't even say mini--- yet but I'm working up to it ) of equal or slightly greater value, let me know.

Give me a call if interested. $100 bucks to ifish if sold through this advertisement. Asking price is $16,900.
Chris (NE Portland) (503.249.7956).

All the Double Cab SR5 4wd models have the same specs, which you can look up online fairly easily since I will likely miss some you're interested in. I've not tracked mileage closely but these trucks generally get upper teens to close to 20 mpg on the hwy and mid teens in town. Just approximations. Bed is 6.5 feet long, comes with a tow hitch and ball, power window, door locks, and power back slider window. cloth interior, am/fm CD player with booster under seat for premium sound. Newish tires (Toyo Open Country A/T), new front brakes this past year. Fog lights, AC, canopy, rubber floor mats. 4.7 liter V8. What am I missing?

I had a 2005 for several years, same motor but they upped the HP from 240 to 280. I never got over 14.5mpg. Even on a 2600 mile journey to AK across the frozen flat north at 60 mph. I have heard several people say the old motor got much better MPG. Towing capacity is around 6000LBS and I pulled that several times without any problems, although you have to have trailer brakes or I wouldn't even attempt.

Great trucks that last well and are very comfortable. I loved the one I had, just need to pull a larger trailer.

Good luck!

That's odd. I have a 2006 Tundra Double Cab with TRD stuff and I average 17.8 mpg/391 miles after 22 gallon fill-up and have gotten 19 on all-freeway trips with a tailwind. I have the V8, can't remember which HP rating.
