Default Page Loading Problems Anyone?

Maybe it is my computer or most likely AOL but I seem to have a lot of problems with this page loading correctly. It usually takes about three or four reload commands to get the page to correctly load. It will load kinda ... the folder images are present but the topic, author and date information is missing. Again it is most likely AOL because it is a ***... Not to be confuse with *** Clerk.
thanks bryan

I had problems with it last week. The icons appeared in the middle of my page.
However, Jen did a tweek I think and it seems
to be working correctly. I am on DSL
(Qwest).
However, around 6:00 when I came to get on I got a really long typewritten, strange message that told me that I couldn't use UBB and I needed
to get to my webmaster. Also I couldn't do anything unless I had permission.
I tried to copy it
to send to Jen but it wouldn't copy. I tried
three different times before that cleared up..
Now everything appears to be back to normal.

It really bugs me to have this problem.
If even only a few users see it, and have problems that is enough for me. I had the problem last night, but in mine, it quickly fixes itself.
It is a known issue:
Click here for the bugs section of the ubbdesign page.

I caught this in a screen capture:

But I had to press "stop" to stop loading the page to get it. Otherwise, if it continues to load it corrects itself.
Is this what you guys are seeing? The scroll bar?

I seem to have problems about 15% of the time, either slow or not loading completly.

Cable modem has nothing to do with it. When I first load the page it is almost always messed up and doesn't correct itself. After I click on the first thread it corrects itself about half the time. Sometimes it won't correct itself until after about 4 or 5 threads. Not a real big deal just annoying sometimes :depressed:

A handful of people, very few, say that it doesn't clear up. I wish we could figure out what is different with the couple that have it stick.
Have you done a windows update lately?
You using the latest browsers?
I really don't think it has anything to do with connect speeds, as I'm on a dialup.

(Windows users)
Also remember to do your normal maintainance stuff. Clear your cache. Clear ALL your *.tmp files (search your c: drive with the "find" function.) clear all/old cookies. This one is a small pain if you have alot of places you need cookies for. Do it anyway, it's a small place to pay. Run disc cleanup and then defrag your hard drive. It's kinda like cleaning the bathroom, nobody wants to do it but you have to anyway.

Hi all,

What version of browser are you using when it sticks and doesn't clear? Also have you tried setting the browser cache to check for new pages automatically? I did this on mine and it stopped. I have tested it in IE 6.0 Netscape 6.2, and Mozilla. I agree it's not likely to be a connection issue, BUT it can happen that the time it sticks is because the time out function of the browser has caused the page to stop loading. (This means the browser waits x amount of time to load a page after that it can stall and think it's done.. darn browser wars..)

Thanks for your patience. We'll figure this out together
