Re: Favorite River
The Sandy, obviously.
Overfished, but underrated none-the-less. One of the few rivers where I know you can find a hole full of bright chinook or steelies at the peek of the run where there will be no one else fishing. If you know the river, that is.

Re: Favorite River
That's tough.....
Home River where I grew up, the Wallowa has a special place in my heart but the mighty Deschutes gets my vote with the Sandy a very close second.

Re: Favorite River
the one for me is Drift Creek out of lincoln city for fall fish,,, I have always done very well there... I grew up fishing it.
In the boat, Its got to be Oregon City. There is a caliber of people up there that warm my heart. Everyone is really nice and willing to assist you whenever you have a question. They like it when you show up in your boat and slow down like you are showing an interest in fishing near thier spot. They all wave their arms and yell at you, Im not sure what they are saying, but I am sure they are welcoming me to the area.
ok really,,,
sellwood for springers and the columbia for fall run...... the clack anytime I can get there..

Re: Favorite River
Nestucca for me
BTW..K9 when I read the first part of your reply and after I got back off the floor on my chair I said to myself... I didnt know there were 2 OC's in Oregon! It all cleared up after reading the rest of it.
The only time I ever fished OC and got along with every one there was Feb 30th 19..no wait...that was a dream nevermind.

North Fork Nehalem
Usually on the Kilchis though... I think it's gotta be a tie.
The more I know this river, the deeper the feelings go.

For me the "fav's" are the closest to me...the Clack and the Willamette, but I'd have to vote for the Columbia as the most productive.
When the fish are in the Columbia...it's a happening place!!

My favorite river would have to be the Kalama, but the river I fish the most would be the Sandy.
