OK this is it!! Friday June 7th. Why should I be at the ODFW Commission Meeting??!! They are going to vote on the new budget. Do we want to keep our hatcheries open? Do we want to keep our hatcheries upto date in repairs. If the answer is yes and you are willing to pay a few more dollars for the privilege of fishing, then you better be at the meeting. Sounds like they are about to approve option #3 alternate la, that will keep the hatcheries open. Option #3 alternate lb will raise daily license $4.oo and raise an additional $1mil. They are worried about raising more than it will take to keep them open. Personal opinion (raise the extra $1mill. and put it toward hatchery repair) they need it. then next time the can't say we better close that hatchery becouse it needs repair. That will be my testimony tomorrow. I will need a lot of backing. Belive me folks I can't do this by my self. I have faith in you all, you will be there. Lets stick together, we know Oregon Trout and the others will be there saying lets close all hatcheries. Thanks Jerry

Folks, Jerry isn't blowing smoke. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Get there early for priority seating. Let's get fishermen to the front of the room! Parking is available at the ODFW building for $3.50 an hours / $10.00 all day. There isn't enough parking for everyone, so have an alternate plan and enough time to get to the hearing on time!

Find a way to show up ... unscheduled testimony means an opportunity for YOU to make a difference in YOUR fishing over the next two years!

I am leaving for the meeting right now. I try to go to all the commission meetings I can regardless of their perceived importance. I was just wondering how I could recognize you in the crowd?

I will be the one wearing the pink carnation…

I am sorry that I did not get a chance to introduce myself. I did get to see you hobbling around the building, old football injury? I waved to you while you were stuffing your face in the deli (good food huh?)
