Default Ocean Regulations Clarification

I'm confused. Is the ocean open for salmon off the Columbia River mouth? I thought it didn't open until July 7th. Or is that for coho? What's the story?

Default Re: Ocean Regulations Clarification

Modifications to the regs say it's open off the Columbia for Chinook only right now. 20,000 fish quota or June 16th whichever comes first.
Coho doesn't open up until July 7th and it's a Sunday through Thursday deal again this year.

Check out the ODFW site and look at the Ocean Salmon and Halibut Sport Fish Regulation supplement released in May. I believe you will find it to have more than enough info to clarify your question.
