First year teacher

This is going to be my first year in our public school system and I'll be teaching a self contained seventh grade class. I was lucky enough to one, get a job in this economic climate and two, be exposed to some wonderful people and teachers along the way who have given me wonderful advice and materials to help build my sparse classroom. I am in need of some other materials however and, before I go out to buy them new I wanted to see if I could save some money and buy them from some Ifish members.

To complete or add to my classroom I could use,

- 2 large tables

- any magazines that would be appropriate for 7th grades

- 2-3 desk or stand up lamps

- established window or shade plants

- any Geography related artifacts

- electric pencil sharpener

- radio or IPOD player

I know this is a lot to ask but if anyone would be willing to part with anything listed above, I would greatly appreciate it. I am living down in Eugene currently, but will be making a trip up to Canby / Portland area the next two weekends.
