Default Clamming on!!!!!

I just got back from last weekends holiday. Boy if your not a clammer then you wont be able to cash in on the best razer clamming . I havent seen it this good since the late 1960's. It took awhile to find the right time and place to go ,but when we did find it ,the clamming was incredible. North coast is the place to be. Lots of access to the beach. Limits in 15 minutes. Just the word from a friend- fishhead. PS.....MUST HAVE 4X4 Vehicle!!!

Hi Fishhead,

It ain't no lie. But in Seaside/Gearheart you don't need a 4X4 unless you plan on driving through the dune area to get to the beach, which is crazy talk and it's illegal. 20 minute limits, Razor claming open until July 15th. They're tasty and there's lots of em'. Above all, remember to remain clam. BTW, Have you ever watched the movie "Silence of the Clams"? How about "Night of the Living Clams"? Another great movie is "Clams of Endearment". You should definately see Clint Eastwood in "The Good, the Bad, and the Clams" or "Fistfull of Clams". Recent good movies releases: "The Sum of all Clams" and "Bivalve wars II: Attack of the Clams"

There were a lot of people who DID NOT get
their 15 clams last Thursday or Friday.
It would be nice to think that there is an unlimited supply. But it's just not so. We watched a group of people run from one hole to another to get "their" share before it was gone. We saw 1 and 1/2 inch clams laying on
the sand. The seagulls had a field day.
All one needs to do is remember Long Beach
(if you are old enough to remember clamming as a kid).

Posh II,

You must also realize that you are refering to all razor clams that exist between the high tide line and the line made by the lowest diggable tide during any year. The razor clams beds you're refering to extend probably a half mile or more out past where people can get to them. Makes your eyes red just thinking about it don't it?
