Looking for a new horse

My wife's horse past away a few weeks ago. We are looking to get another one that would be good on the trail. We are loking in the age range between 8-20yrs. with time under the saddle. My wife is just above a moderate rider so something green broke wouldn't work. We are not looking to dump a bunch of money, but if you have or know someone who needs to thin down the herd we can help, I am not asking for a free horse.
