Default Downriggers at Detroit

New member here . I may be headed to Detroit Lake in a week or so. I would like to use my downriggers to get into somethin other than the planters there , Any locations or methods would be helpful. Thanks , Dave

You really don't need the 'riggers yet because the lake is cold to the top. You can fish the first 10 feet at daylight dropping as the sun rises. Fish at the East side of the island for kokanee or across from Mongold boat ramp for holdover trout and landlock Chinook.
