Wow..I know what you're talking about. I have about 30 yrs on you but slipped on the wet running board of my car last Feb...jammed my whole leg... by April, I still could hardly get in and out of the boat...BIG PROBLEM!!! lol So a friend MADE me make an appt with the doc while out on his boat fishing. Went, threw some meds at me. One put me in a comatose state...didn't take any more. Went to a sports doctor. He took xrays...only looked at the frontal Xray and said there was "lots of tread on the tires"..meaning my cartiledge (sp?) was very good. Told me not to use the cross trainer or bike for two weeks, sent me out the door. I take Aleve when its really singing, after doing some pretty physical work outside. Put ice on it once in awhile. I'm just gonna keep giving it time. I think its gradually starting to get better. My diagnosis? Maybe a bursa thing by the way it feels. (my son, the doc in training, hates it when I self-diagnose..lol)

I know dropping some "tonnage" would help alot and I've cut back but without exercising, I would have to eat "fillet of water" to really make much difference. THAT'S not going to happen.

It's very painful, isn't it? And it makes you value what you have when you have healthy knees.

Good luck, RP...take good care of those knees.

Ryan, so sorry to hear of your injury. i will pray for your quick healing and a better then before knee at least they didn't find you with your foot stuck under your armpit like me. had to at least get 1 jab in, I think we are even now., but seriously I will be praying you heal quickly. otherwise if I am able to get out to your neck of the woods, I wouldn't be able to outfish you fairly. Take care bud. Mike Barnard
ps I agree with the last sentance, try a walker, they are ok for a while but also have there problems. mostly carpel tunnel but that is depending on how much force you are putting on the handles.

Ya know, RP...the good Lord made your knee so that it's only supposed to bed ONE way

Hope you're feeling better. I'll pray for ya!
