If anyone is interested in catching these critters and selling them you should head for the willamette. Think they are spawning and are very willing to hit any thing that moves. We have not been able to keep them off of the spinners for the last week. A bait rig should be a real killer.

Yea that's always a good place to catch them. Just remember it's illegal to sell them to the pikeminnow check stations unless it's within 400 feet of the Columbia.

Just a warning, and believe me when I tell you that they will investigate someone who suddenly shows up with 40 fish. Some local lakes and other rivers have tons of them too, but those are illegal to turn in for money (and they can generally tell where the fish is from).

The columbia fish are brighter you can definetly tell the difference. They watched a couple guys for two weeks catching them in the elochaman last year and turning them in. they video taped them and now they are headed to prison on felony charges. It was in the newspaper.

Thanks for posting that info. I don't mess with them at all so i was not aware of the regulations. I was just going by what i was told about selling them. Stands to reason that they would not pay for them out of the willy or like streams. They sure are a pest.

Getting one of those silver, what are they called, oh yeah, chinook salmon, seems to be impossible. Well ALMOST impossible.....

Wait a second WaterDog, Northern Pikeminnow are a native species. Bass are NOT! Don't be dissing a natural, native by mentioning them in the same breath as a darn exotic.
