This showed up in my e-mail.
I think this is kinda cool, our efforts are being heard.

Dear Mr. Anderson:
Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the spring Chinook salmon fishery and the allocation of fish between sport fishers and commercial gill netters. I sympathize with your frustration. Since this is a state issue, I have taken the liberty of forwarding your letter to your state representative.
Fishing is an important part of Oregon's economy, and I have supported federal efforts to restore fish runs to the Columbia River. I helped secure $2 million for salmon habitat restoration projects on the Lower Columbia River and Tillamook Estuary. I have also fought for full funding for the Mitchell Act and the Pacific Coast Salmon Recovery Program.
Thanks again for letting me know your feelings about this important issue. I will continue to monitor this situation and will keep your views in mind. For more information about my work in Congress, please visit my website at
