See Wiz... those hooks are good for 1 in 13 fish. Better switch back to Gammis, VMC or Visions or you're gonna have a long summer At that rate you'll have to hook 260 fish, just to limit one tag

At least you can drop the sign now and get back to netting fish.

Tell your kid , Nice Summer  . I think you are way overdue yourself, better switch the hooks on your rod too

Are we gonna try to go again this week? I'm off to tug on oversize now, Ill let you know how we did later.

Good luck Fellas,

Chris

Hey Madwizard....that was me in the green drift boat behind you last night. But I have a question for you......why do you drop your anchor down in the middle of the hole? Wouldn't it be better if your son let the bait out while you rowed? Your son looks big enough to start rowing! Good luck to ya I'll wave at you next time. How did it go today?

I'd be glad to tag a long with you sometime and show your son a few neat tricks about bait tying. No you weren't anchored long, just that sometimes fish get spooked when 25#'s of lead drops to the bottom, no big deal.

Madwiz,
I hate to tell you this but here goes.Today 4 rods down, diver n bait, shrimp,OWNER HOOKS #2 top #4 stinger.Tied fixed like a mooching rig.4 fish in the box.Gotta love them super sharp OWNER hooks.Actually,3 on dnb,1 on a drifted shrimp.Same hook rig.2 fish on the top hook(#2).2 on the bottom hook.
Had a bad streak on missed strikes on plugs a while back.I feel your pain.
See you on the river.
Mark.

You just tie an egg loop on the bottom and then slide down another hook on the leader and tie another egg loop.

But on that note I only run one hook when I use shrimp, that way I can run either eggs or a shrimp on the same leader.

P.S.
yeah dave I use single hook rigs too.But I drift and diver and bait with the same leaders and my hookup percentages are about 10-15 points higher while drifting the 2 hook rig.Maybe the simple single hook setup is best but I like to prove it to myself. The provin is half the fun.
See you on the Rivers.
