The package I got was very tough and chewy. Too salty, too. I will stick with Beef Jerky

The "frog chunks" are actually dried cuttlefish. It's the Japanese version of beef jerky. Although it's overpriced, you ought to try it. I worked in Japan for 3 years and it was one of my favorite snack foods over there. It's definitely better when it hasn't been sitting in a package for a long time (probably the case with these). You probably could find it at a good asian food grocery store.

Don't buy the dried stuff, Go to Blue Lake and catch a couple. These things are great if you stick them in a blender with some Ice chunks and a couple shots of Vodka.

Bait ? I grew up on the swamps and have eaten lots of them. Catching them is a blast. It's more like hunting than fishing. If they weren't extinct around here I would eat more!

Default Frog Chunks?

Well, has anybody tried this bait yet?

I've seen them at fisherman's and at bob's in longview, but just can't bring myself to buy a pack to see what the stuff is.

It looks "tendon-like" (probably the reason for frog chunk name) I'm guessing that it is dried and shredded squid. Says it is all natural, no chemical additives. Interesting stuff.

Anybody have any experiences with the stuff.

I'll buy some when someone next to me outfishes my roe with it
