Cleaned the boat today
Cleaned out the drifter today to get ready to fish summers.The following items were found;
1-7,yes thats right 7 plugs.Guess we don't have to worry about taking on water.
2-A sandwhich-I think thats what it is.
3-At least 15 empty hook packages.
4-Four Deschutes river boater passes.
5-3 empty bottles of scent.
6-5 partial to full bottles of scent.
7-A hook in the bow rope(now in the trash after a short visit with mister finger...ouch).
8- A lid for a pips leader dispenser.
9-2 12 guage shotgun shells.
10- An empty travel sized bottle of Joy detergent.
11-At least 10 c sized batteries(bottom line sidefinder)with package remains.
12-4 empty,partial or full chamelion spools(leaders).
13-A bic lighter.
14-maybe 3-4 shredded sandshrimp containers.
15-a holdzit tool holder with leadmaster pliars and file(big score!).
16-Several ziploc baggies,maybe lunch related?
17-enough swivels to last 3-5 years as a full time guide.
18-A bent oarlock(don't ask how but it can be done).
19-1 broken tape measure.
20-1 empty bottle os spirits (deer camp celebration).
21-4 partial rolls of toilet paper.
This is the stuff that was above and beyond the regular 40000 pounds of stuff necessary to catch a Steelhead. Now I realize that this makes me sound like a slob(I am),but my wife is the regular front seater.Since the front seater is usually the one who deposits stuff under the front seat we spoke of her offenses(4 ROLLS of toilet paper!!!).She spoke of my offenses,"Is that thing a sandwhich??!!!You SLOB".
Boy howdy I am so excited to see how the boat handles now.HOOHOO!
See you on the river(We will be the folks in the clean Willie with 7 plugs in one of the cupholders).
Mark.

Re: Cleaned the boat today
That's funny! But what also seems amazing is that you didn't find 17 dozen corkies and beads! I drop my box at least once a year and they seem to creep under the floor boards and hide until I they crawl out and get under my foot at the most inconvenient moments.

Re: Cleaned the boat today
After all that and the other 40000 lbs of stuff, was there enough room for people too?

Rogue,no its not funny.Have youever rowed that much stuff around before?
Pete, sorry I forgot to mention those.Thought the floor was covered with old popcorn!
Xtrucker,of course there is room, she simply sits on the propane tank, cooler or dog.Everybody knows that. She could sit on the front seat but then where are we supposed to put the wiggle wart box and wet wipes?

Hey Flatfish and everyone else-
Your eyes haven't decieved you. I had Jennie change me from xtrucker to plugs'n'bugs. I thought it had a more fishy sound to it. whatdayathink?
And besides xtrucker makes me sound like a 65 year old retired truck driver. Which I am not, I am a 28 year old college student studying fisheries biology, who happens to be an ex-truck driver.

Re: Cleaned the boat today
Sounds like you pulled enough gear out of your boat to have a garage sale!

Re: Cleaned the boat today
PlugsnBugs,
Big improvment.Your old moniker sounded like a country and western song.
Angle this,
I can say this from experience.Never sell fishin or huntin stuff.Only buy.It will be needed 1 week after you sell it and you end up spending $173.64,on average, to replace something you sold last week for six bucks .
So get out there and buy buy buy .
See you on the river.
Mark.
