Default Multnomah Channel 5-18

We found a couple !!! Took a buddy, new to springers ,to the channel today ...He had a good take-down early AM ... then I boated a bright 22-24 lb hen , went looking for her boyfriend but found a 12 lb native that swam off with a kick of her tail and a refreshing splash to my face !!! Then found her big sister !! 26-28 lb , my biggest ever , with mature eggs and sea-lice ! Next it was my buddies turn to weigh in ...a 14lb hatchery for the box. Nice to be the lucky boat !!!

Nice job  Good to see that the channel is still producing. What part of the channel were you in?

Two good grabs yielded one 18# keeper for us, a nice morning to be on the water.

A neighbor of mine went out on Saturday and fished the Coon Island area and they put 4 keepers in the boat. I guess they are still coming in good. He caught it on plug cut herring too.

Swampy, Sunday proved to be a lot slower, unfortunately. We were fishing before six and didn't get a fish-on until about 10:30 - a very pretty wild fish in the mid-teens size range, which we carefully released without netting.

Our friends in a second boat went one hatchery fish for three rods.

Quick spinning herring on the bottom was all that worked. On Saturday we got our hits fishing suspended 9-13'.

Sunday, that fast action was that guide who wears the blue gloves. Including a triple, I must have seen him with at least six fish for three clients.
