Oversize Sturgeon - estimated weight

Does anyone have a chart to estimate the weight of oversize sturgeon?

we had a good day at the fishery w/ fresh willamette shad. two 8 footers and a mamouth 11 footer... had several other takers that missed the hook. oh and a 39 incher by "fishguy"

How much do sturgeon weigh?

The sturgeon viewing area at Bonneville talks about the average size of sturgeon during a certain commercial fishery being 7' and 150 lbs so the link above is in the ball park. Of course a lot depends on the girth. I weighed a 42" fish one time and it was 19# bled out so the chart is probably pretty accurate for a typical fish.

That means my brother-in-laws first ever sturg last Wed were 37# and 23# and my two were 27# and 184#! All from the bank on sand shrimp.
