The clinic was great. Mark is very knowledgable and shared all his best salmon/steelhead secrets. He had four rods in different flavors to try. Now I need two more rods and reels........

We even got to buy some of Mark's custom jigs that are probably not otherwise available. If you knew the color/size that catch coho, for example, I am sure Mark could make one for you. As it was, we just bought the tried and true ones direct from the source.

Great bobbers, too. We were interrupted a couple of times by folks catching fish. Saw a nice springer caught on bobber 'n eggs.

Great event. I met Cohodependent and Steeliesteve. Maybe twenty folks all together. If I can figure out how to make this new digital camera spit out the pictures I will try to post them. Prob'ly take about a week.

I sure wish we could have made it out there. We had a situation with our 16 year old son, that made our plans change. Hope everyone had a good time!!

I agree with Crabbait. The clinic was a great sucess. Mark definitely knows what he is talking about. Learned a few more secrets. If only I could figure out how to use them.

Enjoyed meeting several Ifishers including Crabbait, cohodepentent, and snapshot. Great people.

Looking forward to meeting many others.

Steve

Yes, a big thank you to Mark!!! Now, if I could only get one with one of his jigs all would be well. It was great talking with all of you that were able to attend. I stoped off down towards the mouth with no luck. I did not see any one else with fish down there either. That springer that was caught was a beaut...

Mark and Cindy were extremely gracious and patient with we amatures at the clinic. It was very obvious that Mark is having fun with the First Cast Jigs and helping others learn to use them. He had a great assortment or colors and demonstrated all the combinations of presentation. He is easy to recognize on the river because he will be the first man you run into that actually carries and uses four ( 4 ) rods as he works through a hole. Thanks again to Mark and Cindy for taking their day and sharing it with us. Because of them and others like them on this site, we have a great site. Thanks to Jennie too as she brings it all to us.

We had a good turnout and I took some photos for the board but have to have them developed. Unlike Crabbait, I don't have a digital yet. Look at the Chinook caught that he took the picture of and sent to Jennie to post. It was as described caught with a bobber and bait.

Great meeting all the new bobber fisherpeople and I look forward to rubbing shoulders on the water with all. Now that we have the jigs that work, let's go out and use them. Next time, I think I will write down all the names so I can post them. A pen has a much better memory than I do.

Thumper was there too, but he didn't buy any jigs as he uses the same one all year. Said no need to change as he never looses them. I think Mark gave him that one.

If anyone noticed the chinook--- and we all did, the man that kept the hooks in the water caught the fish, which proves my little statement,

* Fish only bite wet hooks* and we all stood around talking while he fished.

Thumper, I knew my JRT was growling for a reason this morning. Sorry I missed you. I did get down to the boat Ramp and met Cindie and Mark just before the last of the group left. Sorry I missed the main event. Maybe next time.
I too, want to thank Mark for bringing his expertise to this river. You are invited to come out for this kind of activity anytime. Any help I can give will be yours.
Just kidding Thumper, I think Lyric would like you.

Waitaminit Wiser! I thought no dogs were allowed in the park. I saw your home, and it is definitely in the park! Get rid of that mutt.

Another big thanks to Mark for doing the clinic. He definitely knows his stuff.

Hey, I even got to net the Springer that is shown in the pics. At least I got some sort of Springer action this year!
