Default Genetron GT9 Fishfinder (Comments Needed)

I have another post going right now regarding the Lowrance LCX 104C Fishfinder and "Fear No Fish" told me I should look into the Genetron Equipment...

I am having a hard time finding information on the net regarding this but it seems to be a very popular unit in the mid-west for those walleye chasers...

I would like any comment/feedback on your opinions as well as information regarding this equipment...

Thanks Much...

Fear No Fish - I sent email to your buddy regarding information on this unit...Thanks again.

Just spent some time on the phone with the people that make these units and what can I say...I took the bait, hook/line/ & sinker...

The people that make these in N. Dakota took the time to explain to me why I need to buy this vs. the Lowrance...

They only manufacture so many units per year and due to demand he is going to make about 25 more if his crew agrees to it...

I will have mine in 2 weeks if he decides to make them. He was explaining the difference between LCD vs. CRT. Genetron utilizes a CRT...Resolution is everything and he expained that his units are bullet proof compared to the LCD units...He told me to read the March issue of consumer reports and it would explain it clearly...

This system is a dual transducer system with a switch box...He said their sonar technology is utilzed by many law enforcement agencies in relation to body recovery as well as the charter boat industry...

I know Lowrance has the name but I have been on many charter boats in my days that utilize the CRT technology and I think I am making a good move considering I have a great GPS already...

I also read many testimonials, many from the mid-west regarding the utilization of this unit in the Great Lakes area and many said bar none that these units are the best units they have ever used.

Fear No Fish steered me in this direction and the people at Genetron were very knowledgeable & willing to help. The guy said I should be able to drop a 1/16 th ounce jig off my down rigger and see a fish come up an hit it...He said these things have to be this good or he would not be able to sell them to the client base he sells to...

If anyone needs information...Let me know...I would also appreciate more feedback...
