Default Siletz Springers!

Anybody been down on the siletz river lately. There are late winter and summer run steelhead in there right now. As well as a run of spring chinook. The cutthroat are getting huge now, up to three pounds. Any body have success springer fishing on the siletz? My dad have a place on the siletz he just got a couple of months ago. Want to get down there again and land some fish.

There are Summer Steelhead to fish for but I still think that the Siletz Springer is a myth made up by Tillamook area fishermen to relieve the pressure on their rivers.

I agree with O.Mykiss on the springers. True a few are taken every year through out the river but, mainly high up near Sunshine and Buck Creek in the Gorge with a bobber if open. I wouldn't say there is enough to target....Stick to summers and go for the incidental springer catch...
