I learned my steelheading lessons on the Sky before moving down here. Same techniques apply up there that work on the Sandy, Clack, and Wilson. Don't let the size of the river overwhelm you. Sometimes the fish will stack up in side channels and backeddies. For gear fishing, you can't go wrong using silver or brass spinners or spoons. If you use bait, keep it small.
