Kalama river Springers...

Who fishes this river regularly?

My experience targeting Springers on this river has been a little frustrating...try ofer! I fished the Kalama alot seven or eight years ago which is a certain contributing factor, the Springer runs were pathetic back then. I have learned alot since fishing it so long ago, in three trips so far this year though I could only manage to hook and lose one Springer. I threw eggs and shrimp under floats and switched to spoons and spinners after morning.

It would seem that this river is largely a morning show when it comes to Springers...what can I do to help increase my number of hookups from the bank??

Mums the word apparently?!

I have fished the Kalama about 7-8 times in the last month and have only seen 4 springers. Unfortunately none were on the end of my line (bast_rds)! I too noted that they were all within the first hour of daylight.

Of course you already knew this H2O!

Fish early...........
Fish late.........
Usually not much in between..........

At least that's been my experience on Kalama springers.
