Default if you were me ....

where would you fish if you only had the choice of: sandy river, drano lake , wind or oregon city. as far as I know these are just about my only options with a drift boat for some springers
thanks....

boy you have asked a lot of questions, , have you taken the boat out anywhere yet??? i dont like any of those fishing options with a drift boat. i would say lower clack or sandy . boy i might have to give you a ride so you will see water instead of your moniter.. Yup, I'd vote for Gilbert River to the bottom of the channel. Saw several DB's there on Sunday, would definitely take mine!!

thanks all....where is gilbert launch and what do they use there???I know at dranoand wind to use mag warts and in oregon city from what I found out today they are using kwikfish, wobblers, prawns ?? wonder where else is there to use a drift that I have not heard , there has to be tons! that was funny but may be true madwizzard. Went to drano 2 weeks ago and did catch my 1st salmon... with all this ******* wind have not been able to go to drano or wind, went last week to drano and turned it back to home, didn`t even get wet!..... Seems like chance of salmon is best there?....but if windy when I get there tomarrow then I`ll most likely go on to oregon city, gilbert launch possible too. stopped in at fishermans today and loaded up with couple "alvins wobblers and couple kwikfish" so should be set if I end up at O.C.

thanks for the info I need all I can get!

I fish all the time in OC with my db. Put in at Sportcraft and head on out. Easy to ancor, a little toughe troll, especially when the Columbia was closed. Although there are several drifts around here that should be producing well for steelies and a few with some salmom mixed in.

Good Luck on whatever you decide. I'll be in OC in the am. We boated a nice 16# keeper for my virgin brother tonight, and there are sure to be more coming !
