Default Detroit report

We took the kids fishing at Detroit and the stocker fishing was fast and furious. They had a blast! Holdover trout were harder to find but the ones we caught were fat. The kokanee were about 12 to 14 inches and scattered. I got a 19 inch landlocked chinook that made my day. I didn't expect it as I was trying for kokanee. It sure looks better up there with water.

Sounds like a good day Scrod. BTW, how fat was that Chinook. And if you don't mind, what were you using when you caught that fish.

It was surprisingly stout. I would have expected a much more slender fish. It was a typical kokanee rig. Small blade spoon rig, large size pink wedding ring and white corn. If I hadn't had my drag set so light for the mush mouth kokanee this fish would have snapped off in a second.
