Default GPS buying help

I'm going to purchase a fixed GPS for my sled and would like to get an internal antenna model. I've narrowed my choices to a Garmin GPSMAP 172c and the Navman Tracker 5500i. I'm leaning toward the Navman because some of the features, such as being able to hook a fuel flow sensor to it.

Does anyone have any experience with a fixed mount internal antenna Gps or the Navman brand?

This probably won't help you but I did a lot of looking recently and finally ordered a Garmin 176c the other day. Since I have a winshield boat I wanted something protable that I could move to the back of the boat while trolling and/or use it in someone elses boat.

I would get a bare bones GPS and then hook it to a laptop or Palm Pilot. The little GPS displays are hard to read. Having a moving color map is cool.

I use Garmin in the air as well as in my boat, they are the undisbuted leader in GPS and by far the best unit that money can buy.
