Default Rainy Falls

Just got back to Portland from the Rogue River. Did'nt get to bring any fish home but lost a 20+ lbs chrome bright Nookie. I was throwing a Chartrues spoon at Rainy Falls and it straightened the treble hooks . Saw about 5 other fish hooked and landed yesterday. All fish are in the 20 lb to 30 lb range. a local said the biggest one sofar was 54 lbs. Why are the nooks so small up here?

It's fun fishing below Rainy riffle I spent a few days down there myself. It sure makes the walk out interesting with a 40lber over the shoulders.

I was wondering what it would be like for the 2 mile hike out with a 20+ lb Springer, or one of the Sturgeon in there. Saw one Sturgeon jump that had to of been around 8'

A frame pack and the knowledge of a cold one waiting at the rig are always helpful!

There are quite a few Sturgeon down there and a lot of people don't know it but there is actually a small shad run that comes up as far as the falls.
