Default Is there a chance?

Is it possible that they might open the columbia to springer fishing again this year if the number of springers passing bonneville stays in 5 digits for awhile like yesterday when 12,000 went over the dam.

Yes, there is a chance they will open up Springer fishing again this season on the Columbia. I have it on good authority that when Jupiter aligns with Mars, and and it snows in Phoenix, Arizona in August, you will have an emergency OPENER.

But, if just two gill netters complain loud enough, they will allow a fishery for all of them on a moments notice.

In any event, we sportsmen are toast!!!

From the anouncements I have read it looks like they will meet on Tues to revise numbers again. I now expect the fish count to hold and climb and the run estimate to rise if the counts are there. The fish got here just in time. I wouldn't also be suprised if there is an emergency opening for Monday. IMO

As far as this closure stuff Steve King has to be conservative.
