Oregon City above 205 report
This report is for the river between 205 and the old OC-WL bridges. :depressed: My boat was in the lake line from dawn to 6:15 pm today and from everything I heard-I should have been there yesterday (the story of my life). Saw no more than 6 fish on all day in that area. Clicker Ray, who anchored next to use this afternoon, said, "My Grandma used to say, "When the wind blows East, the fish bite least."" Grandma was right today. :depressed:
I'll be there Friday and hope for a West, North, or South wind.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
We tried for a couple of hours this evening up there and only saw one nate caught and released. It was caught on a quickfish from anchor. We were drowning prawns.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
We fished the Milwaukie area today and it was slow. We managed two fish in the am but nothing the rest of the day.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
I'm afraid I put the bite off the whole river. (The pilgrim has competition). Meldrum Bar was sloooooooow. One was caught around 6:00 pm - the top of the tide I believe. Nice fish. 20 lbs. Keeper. Sandshrimp seemed to be the secret. I had one good strike (actually, what looked like a strike but since I have yet to catch a Springer, I really dunno. But when other rods dance like mine did, people hook a fish. So much for Owner Hooks - though I haven't thrown them out yet). I sure Bonneville was hot today .......

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
I too fished above the I-205 bridge and only saw 1 fish caught. So I left and fished the Clackams and managed to pick up a nice bright fish there.
I did see David Johnson fishing the OC area, and I wonder how he did with his boat full of clients?? Dave are ya out there.... fill us in.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
We fished the Sand Bar Mon, Tues and Wed. Mon and Tues we we hooked 12 and kept 8. Tuesday we were done at 11:45. Wed we hooked and lost 2 . The bite really sucked Wed. Maybe Friday will be better.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
I agree the bite Wednesday was non existent.
This morning I started off by the falls for 30 minutes then moved down to just above the 205 bridge, I hung there for almost an hour and saw only one fish caught with about 35-40 boats in the area. :depressed: At 7 I dropped down to the garbage hole and fished till 7:40 and saw 4 fish caught  with about 20 boats in the area.
Things were just starting to look decent for the morning, and then it was time to go to work :depressed:

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
DJ was not a lucky fisherman yesterday either. He had a banana, some chicken with garlic, and he bought some rosey smelling wash soap instead of lemon joy.
Sounds like it was a bit slow after a good day the previous day. That's fishin.
Oh yeah, he had some really old fisherman with him too. That will put the fish off the bite for sure.

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
I know this post says above 205 - but it looks like others are getting off course... we fished in OC around clackamette - didn't see much happen all day - the bank guys pulled a few in here and there.... we used everything from prawns, to eggs, to hearing, to spin-glo's.... nothing .. .till about 5pm.. when i put on a k13 bait wrap (blue back, red dots on side, flo green tail)... wamo... 14lb hatchery.... an hour later... .same plug... wamo ..... hung on for a good fight - the net was staged - then a tripple head shake out of the water... and tossed the hooks about 12 ft from the boat ..
overall it was a long slow day....

Re: Oregon City above 205 report
I've seen alot of action just before dark....say maybe from 5 p.m. on.........
I'd recommend that with the amount of fish that are out there...if you stick it out til dark, you might score. I know of two that were caught last nite within minutes of 8 p.m.
The evenings have been a happenin' time out there.
