It's the Bonneville exit. Just enter the Bonneville Dam complex and follow the signs downstream to the creek. U can't miss it.

Be sure to get there when the gates open at 6:00 and join the foot-race!

In my opinion, Tanner Creek is over-rated. The Columbia is a big river, and fishing 2 feet from the next rod over isn't my idea of enjoyment.

Does anyone have a better plunking spot that actually has fish at this time. I fished Sauvies island. It was dead. I heard that they are catching fish at tanner

I fished down below Tanner Creek on Sun. This was the first time that I had been down there. I saw maybe 15 fish caught for the 50 or 60 rods packed into the 50 feet on boths sides of the creek. This was in about 6 hours. Me and my buddy were fishing about 100 yards below the creek because I didn't want to put up with the crowd and we didn't get a touch.

I normally spend my time lower on the river, but it seems like you don't have to put up with the crowds at Bonneville. The hwy follows the river for several miles before the dam, just find a likely spot and walk down.

You might have better luck on the lower river though. I have been hearing good reports from the Clatskanie area (search for Jones Beach).
