I've been hearing *looks around and wispers*...

PINK!!!

When the water is off color, try using a darker jig (purple, black, and other combinations with those colors). Darker colors can be seen at a greater distance by fish than lighter colors.

I have never fished the Wilson but pink & white work well in most conditions, when the water gets a little murky I switch to Purple &Cerish (sp) or all red or black. It is hard to beat a Pink &White First Cast Jig. Just my $0.02....Ross

Sparkleboy adn Corkie Monster are my hero's. They found a way to get to the river today. I had fished on New Yeays day for a couple years because everyone else sits home and watches TV once they get out of bed. It is always great to start the year out with a couple steelhead.

My wife would not let me leave the driveway with the boat once she saw the snow and heard a traffic report. Pershaps that was best as I was safer sitting on the couch wishing I was fishing

Actually, I was not able to get to the river today. The snow was bad, I had a late night last night, and things just didn't work out. I don't know when I'm going to be able to get back on the river. Hopefully soon...but I look at the ten day trend and there is either ran or snow for the next ten days... :depressed:

Thanks for the info, I know pink is a good color, just got a little frustrated at the river. I did have a few good takes on a Blue Pirate Corkie with purple yarn, But swing and miss. As far as making it to the river with the road conditions? We left portland right when it started to snow, and returned home after the roads melted off. We only had to drive on snow pack for about 15 minutes over Hwy 6 pass. Got lucky

Thanks

If it's clear, pink and white are going to work if anything. When out of shape I stick with bright red.
