Default crabbing in washington

Can anyone enlighten me on what the limit and if a license is needed to catch crabs in Washington like it is here now in Oregon.

Yes, there is a license required to catch crabs here in Washington. The daily limit is 6. You will need a catch record card and a 2-day temporary, an annual shellfish license or an annual combination licese.

I am not sure what the nonresident fees are off the top of my head but the WDFW website (www.wdfw.wa.gov) should have that information.

thanks Oly Angler, see i have a washington fishing license for salmon steelhead. I needed to know if i'm covered.

I guess from what you wrote i will need to get a catch record card unless it's on my tag and i just never took the time to check for a crab section. too busy landing salmon. hehehe.

Be very careful of open vs closed seasons.
Washington likes to micro-manage everything having to do with anything.

Just checked, everything in Hoods Canal is closed
for crab. Don't know about the rest of Puget Sound.
