I live in Hood River and have been fishing the Wind all season. It came back to shape today but the fishing still sucked. We trolled outside this morning and went up to the falls after that. Nothing up in the river yet and they caught about 10 fish trolling for 40 boats by 3:00. We did finally start marking some fish. Last year I all ready had a bunch of fish by now from the wind. This year we only have 1 for the boat. :depressed: We have done the best below the dam, but as everyone knows the water is RAGING now.

How's the Columbia water look at the mouth of the Wind?

The columbia is high and BROWN, but the wind is clearing. The clear water is pushed all the way up against the shore outside the point down into the west corner. The buoy line is chocolate. I bet you can't guess were they caught fish today.

I fished the Wind Friday till Monday had one takedown Sat. and Long Distance released on Sunday morning. Had planned on being there till this weekend but pulled out monday night, bad weather muddy water and no fish. The wind looked like chocolate milk Sunday and lots of debris in the water at the buoy line. Pretty dirty Monday but the Wind looked to be clearing up Monday evening when I left
