Default River marker review

Went out on the Columbia last weekend and realized that I need some navigation aid review. I remember keep "red on the right" and I believe that is when approaching shore or going upriver. Where is a good website to educate myself?

red, right, return, (returning to port from sea)
or red on the right when going to idaho. you can get a hand book at most gi-joes mabye f/m too and the coast gaurd web site.always know were your markers are ,some spots out there are 15 feet deep but have snags 1 foot under water, so stay between the markers tell you know the river.

ET,

Take the on line boating course at boatus.com .
In Oregon everyone is going to have to take a test to get a safety card in the next few years.
I found out I didn't know as much as I thought I did.
