Default Is the Wind River or Drano Lake open for Springers?

I've read that there's suppose to be a different season for these waters than the lower Columbia. Are these waters open yet? If not, does anyone know when they will be? I have a friend who wants to come up and visit from out of state in May and he wants to go Springer fishing. Hope they don't close the whole fishery down before he comes up.

Lug,
Both the Wind and Drano are open as we speak. Right now they are puking mud but will clear in a few days and fishing shouldn't be to bad. Your friend coming in May could hit it right on the head! I sure hope so, sure have moved a lot of trips that direction.....

Thanks Jim,

I'll be up there in mid June. Hope the run is close to the original forecast. It's hard to tell right now with the lower Columbia being slower than expected - especially this time of year. I've got my fingers crossed!
