doesn't really work for spinners, they seem to get wrapped up with the line. I bet it will work for spin-glos thought. This is the only was I fish Kwikfish.

Ineresting idea. I use similar setups with woblers for fall fish, because you can fish two of them that way at two different depths. But we have a hook limitation preventing using two qwickfish, yes?

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
Angle This-
Nope, according to Oregon regs, you can fish 3 hooks per rod. Each 2 or 3 pt. hooks counts as one hook, so you could run 1 kwikie with both hooks, and one with a sardine wrap and one out the back and be completely legal !
Good luck,
Chris

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
The one thing that comes to mind is that the lead in now at the end of the main line and the lure line in on a slider. I would be ok with it if the swivel was a locking one and some how it would be come sucured in place when it hit the bottom of the line. The bouncing back is not that bad, does the sinker always stay on the bottom when you use your method ? or do you end up working it back a little?
Thanks - Fishalot

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
this setup works great. i use a snap off the bill of another k-fish to tie my leader on.another thing i some times do is rig up normal with the spreder to back bounce but put the bead on my main line 4 feet up from my spreder.then back bounce your main k-fish. then attach the second wraped k-fish with no belly hook.and know your ready to get those high fish to.i still catch 5 out of 6 on the lower k-fish . but i got 1 more fish then i would have with out it.i use a 24 inch dropper-30 inch lower leader and a 42 inch upper leader. give it a shot some time when you see the fish are off the bottom..

Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
For all you folks that like fishing with kwikfish try this next time your anchored up. From your main line in sequence; run a china hat bead, then a regular bead and then tie your main line to a six bead swivel(or just a regular barrel swivel will do). Off the bead swivel run your lead line(dropper) roughly 24-31 inches. Now I know this may sound strange, but once you have this set up, cast back beyond your boat what ever distance you desire. Once your lead is on the bottom, get tension in your line and place your pole in a holder for the time being. Now for the second half of the set up, use a large snap swivel and tie about 4 feet of leader line to it. At the other end of the leader line tie on a small snap swivel. From this small snap swivel hook up your kwikfish. Now, back to the large snap swivel, open up the swivel place it around your main line and secure the snap. Make sure your hooks on the kwikfish are not fouled and lower your lure into the water. The rivers current will do the rest. The current will pull your lure back to the china hat, which will hold it in place. The purpose behind this set up is to alleviate back bouncing.

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
I use this method to add a spin n glo to my offering. I send my kwik fish back on a spreader and then add teh spin n glo on a 30 to 40 inch dropper back on top. this has resulted in some summer run steelis caught though never a springer for me yet.

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
It is great to see all of your relpies... As for using this set up for spinners it is kind of tricky, but I have a buddy who has figured out a way to do it effectivly. I will find out exactly how from him and post it shortly, but it is sucessful. In regards to my lead bouncing off the bottom and not staying secure, I haven't had any trouble with that. Depending on where you fish and the speed of the current, I generally use a 5-6oz cannon ball. However it is important to note, that you need to use only one swivel when attaching your leader to your kwikfish. If you have a swivel and the locking clip that is already on your kwikfish, it will screw up your action on the kwikfish terribly. You can use either of the two.

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
the theory is like bank fishing in OC......most people use a spin glow on the bottom lure and a spinner or wiggle wart on a slider about 30-40 above the spin glo....i personally wouldnt use a kwik in this application.....

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
This is a great trick and I will probably use it to run a second Kwikfish. However, last year below Bonneville, we caught several springers while we were back bouncing our Kwiks out.

Re: Interesting Kwikfish set up...try it.
since when did back bouncing your lead and lure become such a difficult thing? not to mention if your fishing a ledge or rise that you want your lead to rest on - bouncing it back is the best way to find it. but to everyone their own...
