Default Home made Sardine Oil

Anyone out there have a killer home brew sardine oil recipe they would like to share?I've been really disappointed with the commercial scents lately and thought maybe someone has a idea to make their own.

Not exactly . . . but I did try one experiment:

After an uneventful fishing expedition two weeks ago, I accidentally left a couple of anchovies in my backpack. Two weeks later, there are still no fish trying to get into my basement. Come to think of it, there are no life forms at all willing to go into that area of my basement right now. On the bright side, my wife insisted that I go fishing. Actually, I think she just banished me and the backpack from the premises, but I'll use that as an excuse to go fishing.

Perhaps a more refined method is in order.

Not a sardine recipe, but - scrounge yard sales until you find an old tackle box with a 20 year old jar of potzkies balls'o'fire. Use that oil on yer lures and yer winning the fight. <grin>
