SMELT GUIDE ON THE COWLITZ?

I was able to limit out on smelt today because of a couple guys on this board. One told me to come on up & meet up with him & he'd show me some good spots, I didn't really have to move from the first spot he brought me to, and at this hot spot I met the other guy & his wife who were netting more smelt then anyone else around, (actually his wife was filling the bucket so fast we kinda stood there in amazment)and shortly after that they gave me their spot, & then me & my buddy were able to quickly get our limits, that was very, very nice of WANNACATCHEM & His wife, very great people. My very generous, & informative guide was none other then BORN TO BE WILD, I can't thank him enough, he showed me where to go, he also showed me several other places that can produce good smelt dipping, this guy knows the Cowlitz. If you have any questions, or want to find the smelt, just watch his posts & pay attention! He is a very knowledgeable fisherman & a total class act! I also wanted to thank him for taking me to Bob's, this place took me by total surprise, it's like GI Joes, merged with Fisherman's marine supply only better! & more cool stuff! I could spend hours in there! & probably will! I am so thankful for this board & all the great people who are willing to help us find & catch more fish! You've done a great job here Jennie! Who ever thought a computer would help you catch more fish?

Thanks for the kind words Fish-on2. It's great seeing people enjoy their sport. And yes, Dano is a good guy. Glad you guys got your limits. I am pretty surprised at my wife. She has been fishing a whole two months and has gotten the biggest fish, and with the smelting, the most. Guess I'll have to keep her around for the salmon season....she's turned into a fish killin machine [img]graemlins/hearton.gif[/img]

It twas great meeting you accidently wannacatchem and I'm looking forward to slaying some coho's with you and your wife this fall.

Now if she hammers them coho's the way she does smelt, we're going to have to list the hatchery fish also. :grin:
