Kwikfish rigin ?
Hello,
How do you rig your kwikfish. Do you run it by its self. Do you run a diver, or do you use a threeway and use lead. I will be primarily trolling.
Also I notice there has been a few boats below The Dalles Dam. Anyone know if their catching anything yet?

Thanks guys. All the information you'd ever need, just have to know how to use it.
Thanks, Les.

Re: Kwikfish rigin ?
I like to keep it simple. I have seen a lot of folks that use tons of beads, swivels, sliders, spacers, those things that keep the weeds off your line, several types of leaders, etc etc.
Basically, I just tie a spreader on to my main line, run about 4-5 feet of leader to my quickfish, and then a variable length of leader and lead for the dropper. Lead and length vary with the current. Most folks use cannonball lead from a boat.
I've seen folks with as much as 10 feet of leaders, swivels, and beads between the lure and the first piece of terminal gear. I personally dont like this much length, because you have to raise the rod way up to get the fish to the surface.
Just my 2 cents.
Matt

I use a 2' dropper on a slider and a 6' leader off a bead chain and sardine wrapped herring.Guess I'm doing as good as most.

Re: Kwikfish rigin ?
Welcome, Bluwrt. I see its your first post. There have been many many threads on fishing Kwikfish. Here is the ticket for accessing all that information quickly: Look just below the Doherty Ford add and, just below "Post a Poll" you will see a line of words with "search" in it. Click on search and enter, "Kwikfish".
It will take a moment or two for all the information to download, then you are set. Check out RT's posts on customized Kwikfish.
Print the stuff you want to save.

Re: Kwikfish rigin ?
Blu,
Use the search option.
Look in the top right corner where it says
Ifish.net/Fishing the Coast. under that you'll find:
my profile - register - search - faq - forum home
Click on search, and then type in kwikfish.
(Or any other topic you wanted to search)
It should give you all the info needed to rig up properly.
Good Luck, and Welcome Aboard
UB
