Default Central Washintons Wenatchee area

Does any one know anything about the fishing in Cle Elum WA. Is there steelhead, Salmon, etc. Where are some good spots, etc. I will be moving there temporarly at the end of April, and need to know what to bring for fishing. If anyone knows of anything, Please share.
Thanks

Corkie Monster,

The only good fishing near bye is fly fishing for rainbows on the upper yakima. Steelhead and Salmon fishing on the upper Yakima are closed. There may be a Springer season on Icicle creek this spring near Wenatchee, which is probably a good hour and a half drive. If you are looking for Steelies, your best bet would be to go over snoqualmie pass and hit the Snoqualmie river around Tokul Creek. For fall chinook, you can hit the Columbia at the Hanford Reach which is a good 2 hours plus drive. I am sure there are lots of Lake opportunities in the area but I am not a lake fisherman. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Lucky. I am kinda familiar with the area. I spent my whole summer up there in 1994 battling the fires. Did'nt have much time to look at rivers. And the ones I did see I've pretty much forgotten about. This summer I will be doing pretty much the same. Instead I will be living there.
