I just became a member of the ifish community and just wanted to say hello to all you fisherfolk out there. I'm also new to fishing for springers. I don't have a boat so have been going down to Meldrum Bar once or twice a week. I haven't caught anything but the bottom of the river but saw two caught by people in boats on Monday this week.

I found out about ifish.net from a buddy, Texas Rig, who invited me to be on his team for the festivities on Saturday. So I registered and am rarin' to go fishing for real. Now I know that all of you have heard of "beginners luck". I don't claim to be superstitious but come 3PM Saturday I suspect that "Team Billy Clubbers" will be recognized for something special.(how's that for being vague) Anyway things fall I'm looking forward to having a really great fishing experience and meeting some/all of you who post all the intriguing stuff on this site.
