Default Depressing week

Fished from Cathlamette to Bonneville last Wednesday to Monday, put in the hours too from 1 hr before daylight to dark. All we had to show for it was 2 native salmon and a chub (caught on Kwik fish) we did catch some shaker sturgeon in the M. Channel just for a little action. The worse part is my dad was here and the cooler went home empty. Is there such thing as trying too hard? Should I have found one are and fished it for all 6 days, or is trying to find the fish the way to go? I saw fish caught everywhere I went, it was not great but not dead slow either. The guides were always catching fish, I noticed they were changing their bait wraps very often and started doing that with no success. I better get a fish this weekend to wash this skunk off my boat. Fish-on, count the time spent with your dad a blessing. So, just how did that chub taste?
