Default Tide swing in Oregon City ?????

I know there are tide swings in the Columbia but I'm wondering if there is a tide swing on the Willamette as far up as the Falls in O.C.?

If so, can anyone tell me when it is this weekend?

Yes there is. All the way up to the falls. You can pick up tide tables from Fisherman's Marine. They are made up by the Ascociation of NW Steelheaders. They run about $.50 cents a piece.

just look at the river level

YES the tide affects the Willamette as far as the falls.

This tide table seems to be pretty accurate, based on my observations.

Just don't ask me when the fish bite! Actually high slack seems to be good for OTHER BOATS

The tide change can be very big. I have pulled my boat up on the beach and gone into the house for a couple of hours and come back out to find my boat 3/4 out of the water. I live adout a 1/2 mile down river from mildrums bar. The river can really pick up speed on a strong outgoing tide.

Does anyone know how the river level is calculated? With the daily tide changes, if the height is taken at the same time daily it would vary depending on the tide and make the river level measurement almost meaningless. Anybody know?

I think they take the water level above the falls someware, and they must have water level check points up river all the way to the dams.
