Default Caterpillar Ramp Victims...

Giz and I are taking steps with the Vancouver Police Dept. in efforts to catch the infamous low-lifes that are breaking into vehicles at the Cat. Island boat ramp. Here's what we need..

Any information ( FACTUAL ONLY PLEASE )
regarding details of your loss, such as date and time frame of your loss, and what you lost.

Also...if you have any theories as to who's responsible, and why..I'd like to forward those to the detective, too.

Any information you can provide will be gladly appreciated. Let's use our Ifish power to nail these guys, or this activity will continue.

You can E-Mail me by clicking on the little envelope symbol below and to the left.

Thanx,Mark.

Special thanks to Giz for speaking with Vancouver Police!

The next step is what information we can gather for a meeting I am setting up with the Vancouver Police.

We need your help. Please send any helpful information to Mark. This information should include if you had your car tampered with or broken into. DId you report it. When did it happen? Approx. Time (between _____and _____.

Any suspecious activity you may have observed such as cars/trucks taking off when you got to the ramp, anything that did not look right.

Anything else you think might help us get these guys.

Do not overlook this.

Thanks,

Giz...

We will be launching the super vee tomorrow morning at Cat island. Because of what I have read on ifish the last couple of weeks the truck will be empty with a club on the wheel. Thanks in advance for your hard work. The fishhog

Just hearsay, but someone almost caught the guys, but as they badguys drove further down the road the stuff was thrown out the window and they got to their residence with no proof in possesion.

I'm still with you Mark. I don't frequent that ramp, but do frequent the area. I have not had any problems personally, but feel for those that have.

C'mon people. Step up and get in touch with Mark if you have had problems. Let's nab these punks.

I will keep my eyes and ears open when in that area for anything suspicious.

Steve

I fished yesterday at Clackamette park and noticed a couple guys sitting in their pickup. I was really nervous that they might be planning another attack....so I walked up to the and asked them if they were planning on fishing. They asked why and I told them.."There have been breakin's here and I don't want that happening to me. I'm not trying to be rude, but if you two are planning on jacking my stuff...." The reply I got was that they were just sitting there talking about fishing and they didn't appreciate me accusing them. I appologized but let them know that it has been happening and they might get a few strange looks, parking next to all those rigs....looks like they are waiting to jack someone. They took off a few minutes later and I didn't see them until I was getting ready to leave...one of the guys was walking around looking at the trucks in the parking lot, while the other guy was in the rig. I saw a Clackamas County mounty and I talked to him about the two guys.

Be deligent my friends...you never know who the low lifes are..........

While ripped of at the Forks Launch at the Lewis, I personally haven't been at Caterpillar Island. I've seen the after math there, pile of glass on the gravel, etc.
Whatever needs doin, count me in.

Zaq....Just make sure you don't leave nuthin' in your vehicle...and hope you don't have a nice stereo in your dash. Another victim thinks the culprits are after I.D. stuff too...so be advised.

I second what bassin said. I use the ramp often, and see all the broken glass.

I guess my '88 F150 doesn't look very enticing, cause I have yet to be a victim.

I will be keepin an eye out more closely when I am there! Please keep up the cause.

Thanks Again for your stewardship men!

I've heard someone else tell me they thought it could be someone farther down past the boat ramp. How about a vehicle description? If he saw them, what were they driving? Did he report it to the police??

This is the kind of stuff we need to find out.
Can we keep it civil and informative so that we can move ahead instead of just foundering here??

Chuckee....I'd really like to know what the vehicle looked like they were driving!
