Default "Bluuing"

I have a question regarding "Bluuing" sp? for herring brine. I have always brined my herring in a little rock salt, anise oil, and maybe some green or blue food coloring depending on conditions. Does anyone want to share there recipe for brine with bluing. Is that found in the laundry section of the supermarket? I know we have discussed this before, but it has escaped me. How much bluuing?
Thanks

Herring Bait Brine:

1 Quart Water
2 cups Rock Salt
1/2 cup Powdered Milk
2 Tablespoons Mrs Stewarts Blueing (Laundry Sect.)

Brine herring about 12-24 hrs, then pack in Rock Salt, for good firm baits.

Maybe I should ask a more specific question. I usually mix a small ammount of brine for about a dozen cut-plugs:

2 cups of water, a small handfull of rock salt, and a Tablespoon of Anise oil extract.

If I wanted to add bluing to this mixture, would you be thinking 1 Tablespoon or a few drops?
Thanks in advance,

I use the Pro-Cure Bright-Brine stuff, not sure it's worth it, but it seems easy enough. From my experience, it's pretty hard to over "blue" the herring (using laundry blueing anyway). I don't really measure, I just use an old mayonaise jar for the mixture and just squirt the stuff until the solution is a dark blue, maybe 3-4 tablespoons per quart and a half. I'll either leave them in for a day and then refreeze, or leave them in the brine in the fridge for up to 2 weeks (or until the brine turns brown and smells  )

I would go with 1 Tablespoon for that amount of water.
