You can go here for the current temp of the Link River:
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/or/nwis/uv...cd=00065,00060

If you're not familar with it, that is the water discharged from Klamath Lake at Klamath Falls.

You can also go here and get the temps from the Williamson and Sprague Rivers near Chiloquin. Unfortunately the gages for the lake itself do not include water temps. Some of the other gages do but these do not.

depending on wind dirrection the temps in Agency lake will run a couple degrees cooler than link river due to the several cool water inlets.

I have noted up to 10 degees difference in trib areas to the straights.

So if I am reading the data correctly the water temps are 38 to 39 degrees? Wow, that seems cold. Have you been on the lake at all? I am guessing that most of the fish are holding in Ball Bay or around the Fishing Banks. Sounds like I will be throwing leeches and minow patterns. thx!

Yea its cold because its been cold there, snowing and cold for the last few days. Talked to a buddy last night who lives in KFalls.
Agency and Klamath ave very shallow, Avg depth is about 7'. they get roiled up and temps flux depending on the weather.

Best bet for this weekend would be to troll eagle ridge area, 30-100' off the bank, or depending on the boat, go to pellican bay, cruise that area and then troll out of there toward the north. Fourmile Canal is a good bet too. It is next to the BOR area along west side of agency lake. Deep, troll slow,, tight to the tule banks and long line it. Until it warms water up to about 42-48 deg, the fish are less active and trolling S L O W is the only method.
