Fished Bonneville both Sat. and Sun. from sunrise to sunset with my buddie Chico, his brother and nephew, and a friend from work. Saturday, one fished hooked at first daylight and lost, on #4 orange spin-glo, no action till 2pm then 8 bell-ringers with two hatchery fish landed, 16# and 19#. We fished the Washington side above the powerlines. Only saw about six fish netted on Bradford island all day. Sunday, action started at 10:30am with Chico and myself both having fish on, Chico's a 17# hatchery and mine a 20# native. Slow to about 2:30pm when all hell broke loose, 9 bell-ringers with eight fish hooked, of which four prematurely released, three natives all around 15 to 20 lbs. released and a nice 19# hatchery netted. We were all using #4 spin-glos, with no bait, orange, lime green and the batman were the colors. From what we could see, the fisherman on Bradford island netted at least 20 springers. It has definitely been better fishing in the afternoon.
Hope this helps. I love this site. Ifish rules!
