Default Sunday Columbia Report

Caught one springer in the Columbia, just below Frenchman's bar, on the Washington side. Was trolling plug-cut green label herring in 20 feet of water...but the fish was a native, so back it went.

Earlier that day I had fished the Willamette at the upstream mouth of Mult. Channel under the power lines, but only saw one fish caught, so I abandoned that area after a couple of fruitless hours.

Any info anyone on up river?
I'm hoping to join Steve "Fear No Fish" early this week at the Wind River. The counts over Bonneville are only in the 800/day range.

Fished out of St. Helens today and only saw four caught. Two were by the same person. The checker had only seen one fish by noon. Pretty slow day.

Spent most of Sunday below the 205 bridge. Released 1 wild steelhead and 1 wild chinook. Saw some other fish caught although slower than yesterday. It was nice day to be on the River!
