Cancer is back
I wouldn't usually ask, but I am in desperate need of some prayers. My PSA is rising again, even after my prostate was robotically removed 2 yrs ago. I had a bone scan and there is a black"dot" in my left hip area. So after an MRI in a couple weeks, I will either be doing radiation or Hormone therapy. I hope the MRI is negative, which would mean it is in prostate bed and radiation would eradicate it. Please pray that this is the case!!

You got it. I fear the day I make the same post. Take an aspirin a day and vitamin C AND start taking omega 3 tabs. God will do the rest.

This hits very close to home. I just had my prostate removed on 5/25. I pray your MRI comes back ok. I URGE ALL MEN OVER 40 TO HAVE THEIR PSA TEST EVERY YEAR!!! It's just a very simple blood test that could catch your cancer VERY early, when it is very treatable & cureable.

I will be thinking of you. I had radical prostatectomy 4.5 years ago (manual i.e. surgeon went in instead of using the robotics). Everytime I go in for a check up and PSA I am nervous for several days concerned that my PSA might be found to be rising again.

Sorry about that MS O. The bone scan was negative as was the MRI. The CT scan however shows a small possible tumor in the Prostate Bed. The radiation starts today for 37 days and possibly hormone treatment, as meeting with the Dr. earlier this am to discuss this option. Most of the clinical tests are now showing a reoccurance of prostate Cancer in 66% of the guys having it removed robotically within 5-7 years. I guess I am in the 2 out of 3 as it is back after about 2 years. Hopefully the radiation will do the trick, as I do not like the side effects of the Hormone treatments. Thanks for all the prayers!!!

Wishin, I did everything possible and checked all the options before settling on Hormone treatment. (Androgen) It's been almost a week since the first treatment and no side effects yet except for those that were already there.
Keep up your good attitude and we'll all beat this together. You have plenty of support out there. Ask for it. Talk about it. Don't keep it inside.
I look back now 5 years to the surgery and think; if I had not had the surgery I wouldn't be here. We take what we can get. Pulling and praying for you my friend!

Thanks to all for the prayers!! I am having #17 out of 37 radiation treatments today and I fill good and positive it will wipe it out. Just like a video game, I keep hitting the Kill Button.

Thanks for all the prayers!! Just had my 41st and final radiation treatment yesterday One month and another blood test to make sure they got it all. I am almost 100% sure it will be gone and and i can get on with my retirement Look for Open seats during the next 5 weeks and the "Zulu Warrior"ill put You on some salmon!!

Congrats on your final radiation treatment. Praying for many,many years of joyful retirement. I had mine radically removed may 25. Go back next month for bloodtest & followup.

Well. today is finnally the day I find out if the radiation did the trick!! I have a blood test at 10:45 and will know the results by 11:30. I am praying that the Dr will say it is gone!!

Numbers are in and PSA is 0.01, so the cancer Doc says it is gone!!! Check every 3 months for awhile, but He says just a formality. I am sure the ifish prayers helped
