Default GI Joes - Springers

Does anyone know if GI Joes is doing the Springer Shimano bucks again this year?

So how does the salmon bucks thing work? I was in Sunday buying a new pole, and you know how that goes, he was telling me about the program and I was thinking "New Lamiglas, yeah!!! Now when can I get out and try it out" and I didn't hear the whole thing.

So do you have to sign up for it, or just anytime you catch a springer you come in and have them weigh it and get a $5 gift certificate?

Does anyone know if big fish for the week still wins a prize? I know a few years back, my friend won big fish for the week, and he got a softside tackle bag, a rain pncho, and some line.

Pretty cool.

I will find out the answers to these questions ASAP and post. For now, I can only post last years info at this time.

This year, the contest IS happening. I mis-placed my ad in the recycles already, but I think it starts Saturday.

Last year, G.I. Joes gave out a $5 GI Joes GC, or a $10 Shimano GC, for each SPRINGER! brought in and weighed last year. There was a weekly winner for most lbs. BTW - Prepare to have your pic taken.

O'darn, I still have some Shimano bucks I have to use before April 14!

BD, don't forget to comb your hair and wear the right shirt for your pictures.

This weeks ad says it goes Feb 29 - April 11. There is weekly prizes, and a grand prize of a guided trip with one of Team G.I.Joes guides. I haven't checked on the gift certs yet for each fish brought in, but it should be the same.

Only through April 11th? I didn't remember as short a time frame last year?

It was early last year too for the cut off, but I think it was at least May 1. I took in fish thru the 19th of April. In Albany, they were only giving 1 certificate regardless of how many fish you brought in. And yes, they did weekly prizes for biggest fish, but it was for biggest fish per region, not just per store.
